Arrived in Hanoi, our Hotel is situated in the old quarter near the Hoàn Kiém Lake.
I’m glad I share the room, so I can check in and have some shower and rest. In the afternoon we do a cicle tour through the old quater. A lot of shops from food to craft work. Everything is happening on the street. There is no pavement, people, bikes, motorbikes, cars even buses – everyone uses the street. We have to mind our feet and try not to be hit by any vehicle. Crossings are just for decoration here. Streets are full of motorcycles, noisy and dirty. The trafic is terrible.
In the evening we go for dinner before the milonga. It’s fun. The food is partly alive and jumps out of the pot just missing Julia’s bag and trying to escape under the table. The service has to hold the lid. I was the only one wbo tasted the flying fish 🙂
Next day early wake up. Then we are passing Ho Chi Minh mausaleum. The queue looks like old day long. Never mind.
We continue to Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison Museum. They call it Hanoi Hilton. Don’t feels like Hotel inside.
Then lunch at blue butterfly. Two words to describe it – super delicious.
After some rest and packing for the next day we visit the water pappet show. Very lovely. The music, instruments, singing and the pappets are amazing.
