In Da Nang we have only one mission – Tango Marathon. It starts tonight. Practicaly it is at the same hotel we are staying at.
The fotographer at the marathon is brilliant. I’ve never seen such beautiful pictures of dancing people before. He understands to catch the right moment.
Next day we have time to sleep a bit longer. In the afternoon we have lunch with the marathoners on a boat at the Han River. First time I dance with the flip flops after ruining my socks. It works, even a milonga with Dennis which is most probably thanks to his professional leading.
Few of us decide to walk back over the Dragon Bridge and then along the beach. In the far you can see the big statue of Lady Buddha. Or is this the Goddess of Mercy? Or the same?
In the late afternoon pool milonga. Impossible to pivot. I only have one tanda.
In the night the marathon continuies.
Next day we go to local market at reasonable time. Then we’re back on time for the beach milonga. I am already exhausted by now. Go later, stay a bit on the beach watching Chinese taking crazzy pictures and listening to the tango music. Then I have one tanda with Alan and flip flops.
Before the last milonga we have dinner together on the Happy Yacht watching the illuminated Dragon Bridge which breathes fire and spouts water at 9 pm.
We danced on deck of cause.
The ride back to the hotel was fun and then straight to the last milonga of the marathon with some beautiful tandas.
